H O M E Illustrator, Performer, Video Director and self-taught Animator raised in the wilds of Vermont, living in the wilds of New York City, Zea is best known for her production design work for award winning music videos and concert dvd for The Dresden Dolls and music videos for Ben Folds and a handful of local Boston bands. In 2007, she made her directorial debut with a music video for the band Neptune (Grey Shallows) which was featured at the Boston Underground Film Festival. She is the co-creator/animator of the original short films Bony Lil's Creation + Distraction which have been official selections for Chicago Short Film Brigade and Fuck the Backrow: national tour and feature ten minutes of unique, hand-crafted animation. Zea's illustration work has appeared on Atlantic Monthly, album booklet covers, t-shirts, been bantered about by comedians,and permanently emblazened on folks' skins. Zea is a student of master Pochinko clown teacher, Sue Morrison and New York's bouffon darling, Eric Davis. She co-created and produced an original Pochinko clown show featured in the Experimental Theater Series at Chicago's Gorilla Tango Theater and premiered her solo clown show How To Give Up On Your Dreams: By Not Really Trying at the NY Clown Theater Festival. Zea is currently working on new blockprints for City Feed and Supply, a new original minicomic with Dave Grilli, a series of drawings in the 4th dimension and a secret project with Amanda Palmer.
